CNA - Nursing
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. Provides for patient’s personal hygiene; gives bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos and shaves; assists with showers.
2. Provides for activities of daily living; assists with meals and feeds patients; ambulates, turns, and positions patients; provides fresh water and nourishment between meals.
3. Performs I&O; checks vital signs and weight; performs specimen collection and post-mortem care.
4. Provides for comfort needs of patients.
5. Works effectively as a team member in the delivery of care and assists in the orientation of new employees.
6. Utilizes resources and materials in an efficient and safe manner.
7. Maintains a safe and attractive environment for patients and co-workers; transports patients and equipment as appropriate.
8. Promptly answers patients call lights and requests.
9. Reports observation of a patient to the nurse caring for the patient to ensure professional assessment.
10. Instills confidence in the patient by maintaining a neat and attractive appearance and performing duties in a competent and caring manner.
11. Shows dependability by being punctual; maintains consistent attendance.
12. Maintains good working relations among all nursing unit personnel and other hospital employees through appropriate communication.
13. Performs other duties as directed by LPN, RN or Provider (physician, PA, APRN)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a graduate of a nursing assistant course or the equivalent. Must be currently licensed in the State of Oklahoma as a CNA. Should have good physical and mental health, retain emotional stability in situations of varying circumstances and exhibit flexibility for various duties. Must be able to withstand eight (8) to twelve (12) hours of physical activity, walking, bending, lifting, etc. Additional Information Position Type : Full Time Shift : Day Hourly Wage: $12.00 - $15.00 per/hour
