Physical Therapist - Physical Therapy
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a passion for helping individuals regain mobility and improve their quality of life. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those requiring acute care. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for developing personalized care plans, conducting assessments, and implementing effective physiotherapy techniques.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition and needs.
Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
Implement treatment programs that may include modalities such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and exercise prescription.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care.
Provide education to patients and families regarding rehabilitation processes and home exercises.
Document patient progress using EMR systems, ensuring accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions from inpatient to outpatient or home health settings.
Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to enhance treatment effectiveness.
Stay updated on best practices in orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and other relevant specialties.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:
Proven experience in physiotherapy within various settings including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, or skilled nursing units.
Familiarity with discharge planning processes and the ability to create effective care plans.
Knowledge of EMR systems for documentation purposes.
Experience working with diverse populations including acute care patients and those requiring specialized rehabilitation services.
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge and physiology to inform treatment decisions.
